One of my favorite things to paint is water. Especially reflections on the water. Whether it's the ocean or a mountain lake, the surface of moving water is like no other in terms of story telling. The surface reflects things unseen, outside of the bounds of the painting. Like in the piece below, you can see the masts and rigging of the boat reflected in the ripples of moving water at the bottom of the piece, even though you can't see them above the hull of the boat itself. I hope you like this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it!
